CONDITION

 

Manuscript is very badly damaged. Sewing structure is weakened. Binding is quite severly damaged. Lower part of the cover (one third) is attacted by fungi and insects. As a result, one fourth of the cover (lower part) became detached and is missing. Lower part of manuscript‘s textblock is in a very bad condition. Fungi and insects have caused discolouration of the paper, flaking and missing areas throught most of the textblock. The paper is dirty and iron gall ink corrosion is noticable on many folios. One third of the textblock (lower part) became detached and is missing. The book is very badly affected by the fungi. It should undergo disinfection as soon as possible. The manuscript requires immediate conservation.
